DOTD announces project to improve a section of LA 507 in Lincoln Parish LINCOLN PARISH – The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development announces a $2.2 million project to repair a portion of LA 507 south of Simsboro in Lincoln Parish.
Work is scheduled to begin the week of Monday, July 27, 2026, and stretches from the Bienville Parish line to LA 815 (2.4 miles of improvements).
The project includes base stabilization to strengthen the roadway, milling to remove the old asphalt, new asphalt paving, new roadway striping & signage, and related work.
Motorists should expect intermittent lane closures to allow construction activities to progress safely and efficiently. Drivers are urged to pay attention to signage and posted speed limits.
The entire project is anticipated to be complete in late 2026, with progress dependent on weather conditions and other factors that can impact construction timelines.
LA 507 crosses several north Louisiana parishes, providing connectivity for numerous rural communities. This investment is an important step in continuing to modernize the state’s transportation system.
This project was made possible funding allocated from the Louisiana Transportation Infrastructure Fund (LTIF 2.0) during the 2025 Regular Legislative Session.
