Calcasieu Parish – The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development has announced the auxiliary lane of I-10 Eastbound will be closed from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. nightly, beginning Tuesday, July 7, 2026, through Thursday, July 9, 2026.
The closure will begin before the auxiliary lane to Exit 29, Lakeshore Drive, immediately after the Calcasieu River Bridge. Exit 29 will remain open during this time.
The closure is necessary for crews to conduct maintenance of roadway lighting. Work will be conducted weather permitting.

DOTD appreciates your patience and reminds you to please drive with caution through the construction site and be on the lookout for work crews and their equipment.
Area residents should exercise caution when driving, walking, or biking near an active construction zone.
