LA 19 Comite River Diversion – New Traffic Pattern – East Baton Rouge Parish

ATTENTION:
The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development advises motorists that beginning Monday, July 13, 2026, all LA 19 traffic, from Twin Oaks Dr. to Lupine St. will be switched from the southbound side of LA 19 to the northbound side and put on the new LA 19 Northbound Bridge. During this phase of construction, Spur Lane will be closed at LA 19 and detour signage will be installed.
This traffic switch and road closure are necessary to facilitate the removal of the existing southbound LA 19 roadway and the construction of the new LA 19 Southbound Bridge, and for the construction of the temporary Railroad Shoofly.
