UPDATE - REOPENED: LA 518 at Lake Claiborne, Claiborne Parish
(UPDATE 6/26/2026):DOTD advises motorists that water has receded and LA 518 in Claiborne Parish is now OPEN to traffic.

Original notification - 6/25/2026:
The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development advises motorists that, effective immediately, a section of LA 518 in Claiborne Parish is closed due to water covering the roadway as a result of recent heavy rainfall.
LA 518 is closed between Spillway Road and Darling Road on the south end of the lake.
DOTD will issue an update when water has receded and the roadway has been reopened.
Restrictions/Permits: Total road closure at the specified location. All vehicles will need to utilize an alternate route.
