EMERGENCY ROAD CLOSURE: LA 488 (Twin Bridges Rd), Alexandria, Rapides Parish
The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development advises motorists that, effective immediately, a section of LA 488 (Twin Bridges Road) in Alexandria, Rapides Parish is closed.
This is closure is located approximately 2 miles west of the intersection with LA 1208-3 (Jackson Street), and is necessary due to a piece of malfunctioning equipment that is located in the roadway.
The closure is anticipated to be in place until the morning of Tuesday, June 23rd, and DOTD will send an update when the roadway has been reopened.
Restrictions/Permits: Total road closure at the specified location. All vehicles will need to utilize an alternate route.

DOTD appreciates your patience and reminds you to please drive with caution through the construction site and be on the lookout for work crews and their equipment. Remember to leave plenty of room between you and the vehicle in front of you.
Area residents should exercise caution when driving, walking, or biking near an active construction zone.
