The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) advises the public that, weather permitting, the outside lane of US 165 southbound near Maryhill Road will be closed nightly beginning Tuesday, June 23, 2026, at 9:00 PM to facilitate roadway improvements at the Maryhill Road intersection.
The lane closure will be in effect nightly from 9:00 PM to 6:00 AM, Sunday night through Friday morning, for approximately three weeks.
These closures are necessary to allow crews to perform drainage structure replacements, asphalt milling, Class II base course construction, asphalt pavement placement, and related roadway improvements.
Construction at the intersection of US 165 and Maryhill Road is anticipated to be completed by July 17, 2026. All work is weather dependent and subject to change based on site conditions and other factors that may impact construction schedules.
The contract was awarded to Progressive Construction Co., LLC in the amount of $1,166,390.00.
Motorists are encouraged to use caution while traveling through the work zone, observe all traffic control devices, and allow additional travel time as delays may occur.
