LA 2 west of Oak Grove in West Carroll Parish

The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development advises motorists that beginning on Tuesday, June 23, 2026, the LA 2 Bridge over Little Colewa Bayou will be closed to thru traffic.

This bridge is located approximately 2000 feet west of its intersection with LA 582, west of Oak Grove, in West Carroll Parish.

This bridge closure is necessary to allow for routine bridge maintenance.

The LA 2 bridge closure is anticipated to last 2 weeks, and should be reopened Thursday, July 2, 2026.

DOTD reminds motorists to NEVER drive around ‘road closed’ barricades at any time for any reason.

Restrictions/Permits:

Total road closure at the specified location. All vehicles will need to utilize an alternate route.

Alternate Route:

A detour route will be signed and provided for the duration of the closure.

Safety reminder:

DOTD appreciates your patience and reminds you to please drive with caution through the construction site and be on the lookout for work crews and their equipment.

Area residents should exercise caution when driving, walking, or biking near an active construction zone.
