UPDATE: The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development has announced that the auxiliary lane closure of Eastbound I-10 from 8 PM – 5 AM beginning June 17, 2026, through June 19, 2026, has been CANCELLED.

Calcasieu Parish – The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development has announced an auxiliary lane closure of Eastbound I-10 from 8 PM – 5 AM beginning June 17, 2026, through June 19, 2026. Closure will begin before the auxiliary lane to Exit 29, Lakeshore Drive, immediately after the Calcasieu River Bridge. Exit 29, Lakeshore Drive, will be open during this time.
Work will be conducted weather permitting.
The closure is necessary for crews to conduct maintenance of roadway lighting.

Area residents should exercise caution when driving, walking, or biking near an active construction zone.
