Nightly Road & Lane Closures: Sulphur St (LA 379) & Sampson St (LA 378) - Calcasieu Parish

Calcasieu Parish – The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development announces that Sulphur Street (LA 379) between Sampson Street (LA 378) and Miller Avenue as well as the southbound lanes on Sampson Street from Sulphur Street to the I-10 Service Road will be alternately closed, nightly from Thursday, June 11, 2026 until Tuesday, June 16, 2026, between the hours of 10:00 PM and 4:00 AM. These closures are scheduled to occur nightly as follows:
10:00 – 10:45 PM
Sulphur Street will be entirely closed to traffic at 10:00 PM and reopened at 10:45 PM.
10:45 PM – 12:00 AM (Midnight)
The southbound lanes of Sampson Street will be closed at 10:45 PM and reopened at 12:00 AM (midnight).
2:00 AM - 3:00 AM
The southbound lanes of Sampson Street will be closed at 2:00 AM and reopened at 3:00 AM.
3:00 AM – 3:45 AM
Sulphur Street will be entirely closed to traffic at 3:00 AM and reopened at 3:45 AM.
All times are approximate based on the travel speed of the carrier Police, contractor vehicles, and flagging personnel will escort the moves. Work will be performed weather permitting.
