KCS 2016 FRA STEP (BATON ROUGE)
EAST BATON ROUGE PARISH
The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (LADOTD) is conducting an open house public meeting for the proposed KCS 2016 FRA STEP (BATON ROUGE) project. The proposed project would consist of installing and upgrading active warning devices for theKansas City Southern (KCS) Railroad crossings over North St., Main St., Wisteria St., South Blvd., and Terrace Ave. in Baton Rouge. The project also proposes to change 15th St. between Main St. and North St. into a one-way street to accommodate the active warning device upgrades.
The purpose of the meeting is to provide information about the project and to obtain input from interested parties. There will be a continuous multi-media presentation about the proposed project during the meeting and additional project information will be available. Representatives from LADOTD and the East Baton Rouge Parish Department of Transportation and Drainage will be available at the meeting to answer questions and discuss issues related to the project.
Verbal and written comments on the project can be submitted at the meeting. Comments can also be mailed to the LADOTD address shown below, postmarked by July 2, 2026. The public meeting has been scheduled as follows:
