DOTD announces upcoming overnight closures of Harvey Tunnel in Jefferson Parish

Harvey, La. - The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) announces upcoming overnight closures of the Harvey Tunnel on US 90B in Jefferson Parish.
The tunnel will be closed to vehicular traffic in both directions from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. nightly beginning Monday, June 8, through Friday morning, June 12, weather permitting.
The closures are necessary to allow crews to complete additional repairs and modifications following the recent Harvey Tunnel rehabilitation work.
Motorists may detour using the US 90B Elevated / Westbank Expressway and northbound Peters Road.
DOTD appreciates the public’s patience as crews complete this work and reminds motorists to drive with caution near the construction area and remain alert for crews and equipment.
