CORRECTION - LANE/SHOULDER CLOSURE: US 171 southbound at Twin Oaks Rd., DeSoto Parish
*Corrected to reflect this will be a southbound left turn lane for the median crossovers on US 171 at Twin Oaks Rd. and Memory Lane.
The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development advises motorists that there are intermittent lane & shoulder closures currently in place on US 171 southbound at Twin Oaks Rd. and Memory Lane in Stonewall, DeSoto Parish.
These lane/shoulder closures are necessary to allow a contractor for the DeSoto Parish Police Jury to build a southbound left turn lane as part of access to their new compactor site and shopping center at these locations.
The lane closure will be removed while no work is taking place.
This work is anticipated to be complete in late July 2026, weather permitting.
