DOTD announces project on US 171 from US 90 to Moeling Street to begin Monday, June 8, 2026 – Calcasieu Parish

Calcasieu Parish – The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development has announced a $932,215 project to improve US 171 from US 90 to Moeling Street is set to begin Monday, June 8, 2026.
Work will include concrete patching. Motorists should expect single lane closures in both directions of US 171.
The project is anticipated to last until October 2026.
Progressive Construction is the contractor for the project.
