LADOTD Announces Upcoming Roadway Improvements on US 165 Business and LA 840-6 in Ouachita Parish

A Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (LADOTD) project to repair US 165-Business & LA 840-6 in Ouachita Parish is scheduled to begin July 20, 2026.
The $4,026,436.81 construction contract was awarded to Diamond B Construction Co., L.L.C.. The project consists of milling asphalt concrete, pavement patching, asphalt concrete overlay, and related work.
The project remains on track, with completion currently projected for November 2026, weather permitting.
LIMITS: Located on route LA 840-6 (Forsythe Ave) from the bridge over Bayou Desiard continuing on Forrest Dr to approximately 3000 feet Southwest of the junction of Forrest Dr and Route US 165-Y, as shown in the plans. Located on route US 165-Y from its interchange with route US 20 to its junction with Louisville Ave., as shown in the plans. Located on route LA 840-6 (N 18th St) from its junction with route US 165-Y to its intersection with Hudson Ln., as shown in the plans.
Lane closures will be permitted one lane at a time only, ensuring that through traffic is maintained at all times.
