DOTD announces restriping project on Interstate 10 to begin May 31, 2026 – Calcasieu Parish

Calcasieu Parish – The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development has announced that work on a $273,245 project to restripe Interstate 10 from the I-210 East Junction near Lake Charles to the Jefferson Davis Parish Line near Iowa is scheduled to begin Sunday, May 31, 2026.

The project also includes restriping of exit and entrance ramps at LA 397 (Exit 36) and LA 383 (Exit 43, Iowa).

Nightly lane closures will be in effect on the following days and times:
  • Sunday through Thursday: 8 p.m. until 5 a.m.
  • Friday and Saturday: 10 p.m. until 7 a.m.

Pavement Markings, LLC is the contractor for the project. Work is expected to be complete by mid-May, weather permitting.

DOTD appreciates your patience and reminds you to please drive with caution through the construction site and be on the lookout for work crews and their equipment.
Area residents should exercise caution when driving, walking, or biking near an active construction zone.
