Lane closure: North Lakeshore Drive - Calcasieu Parish

Calcasieu Parish - The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development has announced a right lane flagging operation along Lakeshore Drive from 8 AM – 5 PM on Thursday, May 28, 2026. The operation will begin on the North side of Interstate 10 and end after the curve under the Calcasieu River Bridge.
The closure is necessary to remove guardrail and install temporary barrier rail along Lakeshore Drive. Work will be conducted weather permitting.

DOTD appreciates your patience and reminds you to please drive with caution through the construction site and be on the lookout for work crews and their equipment.
Area residents should exercise caution when driving, walking, or biking near an active construction zone.
