UPDATE: The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development announces the full closure on LA 14 Eastbound and Westbound at Central Drive has been lifted. Note: Alternating lane closures and width restrictions will remain in place on LA 14 from LA 397 to Gerstner Memorial.

Calcasieu Parish - The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development announces a full closure on LA 14 Eastbound and Westbound at Central Drive, beginning 6 a.m. Monday, June 8, 2026, through 6 p.m. Friday, June 12, 2026.
Detour information:
- Motorists heading westbound on LA 14 will travel north on LA 397, west on US 90, then south on Gerstner Memorial Blvd.
- Motorists heading eastbound on LA 14 will travel north on Gerstner Memorial Blvd., east on US 90 and south on LA 397.
Detour signage will be installed along the route.
The closures are necessary for crews to make subsurface drainage repairs.
