Full Road Closure: LA 14 EB and WB near Western Drive -- Calcasieu Parish

Calcasieu Parish – The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development has announced that there will be a full closure on LA 14 Eastbound and Westbound near the intersection with Western Drive, beginning 6 a.m. Monday, June 1, 2026, through 6 p.m. Friday, June 5, 2026.
Motorists should use LA 397 to access Western Drive while the closure on LA 14 is in effect.
Detour route:
- Motorists heading westbound on LA 14 should travel north on LA 397, west on US 90, then south to Gerstner Memorial Blvd.
- Motorists heading eastbound on LA 14 should travel north on Gerstner Memorial Blvd, east on US 90, then south on LA 397.
Detour signage will be installed along the route.
This closure is necessary for crews to make subsurface drainage repairs.
