Roadway and drainage work on LA 27 near Shawnee Road to begin May 25, 2026 – Cameron Parish

Cameron Parish – The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development has announced that roadway and drainage work on LA 27 near Shawnee Road to 2,500 feet south is scheduled to begin Monday, May 25, 2026, through Thursday, October 1, 2026.
Motorists can expect a traffic shift, with one lane of travel being maintained in each direction. Intermittent lane closures may occur, with flaggers directing traffic.
The closure is necessary for Venture Global to widen the existing roadway to install a southbound left-turn lane.
