UPDATE - LANE REOPENED: LA 159 overpass at RR crossing, Webster Parish
(UPDATE 5/19/2026 6:30PM): DOTD advises motorists that this work is complete and the lane has been reopened.

Original notification:
The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development advises motorists that, effective immediately, the outside (right) northbound lane of the LA 159 bridge over the L&A railroad tracks in Minden, Webster Parish is closed.
This bridge is located immediately north of I-20. The lane closure is necessary to allow DOTD crews to conduct emergency repairs to the bridge deck, and will be in place until further notice.
Restrictions/Permits: Traffic will be able to cross the bridge during this lane closure.
Alternate Route: No detour necessary for this work.

DOTD appreciates your patience and reminds you to please drive with caution through the construction site and be on the lookout for work crews and their equipment. Remember to leave plenty of room between you and the vehicle in front of you.
Area residents should exercise caution when driving, walking, or biking near an active construction zone.
