Road Closure: LA 609 at Railroad Crossing / US 80, Richland Parish

The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development advises motorists that LA 609, at the railroad crossing just south of the intersection of US 80, in Richland Parish will be closed, to all vehicular traffic beginning Tuesday evening, May 26 through May 29.
The purpose of this road closure is for CPKC Railroad to perform crossing repairs and routine maintenance to this rail location.
Restrictions/Permits:
This work requires a complete road closure to all vehicular traffic.
Alternate Route:
A detour route will be signed and provided for the duration of the closure. All vehicles must detour using US 80, LA 183, and Interstate 20.
Safety reminder:
DOTD appreciates your patience and reminds you to please drive with caution through the construction site and be on the lookout for work crews and their equipment. Remember to leave plenty of room between you and the vehicle in front of you.
Area residents should exercise caution when driving, walking, or biking near an active construction zone.
