Improvements along LA 14 from LA 380 to Mermentau Bridge in Lake Arthur beginning May 18, 2026 - Jefferson Davis & Vermilion Parishes

Jefferson Davis and Vermilion Parish – The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development has announced that work on a $2.3 million project to improve LA 14 from LA 380 to Mermentau Bridge in Lake Arthur is scheduled to begin Monday, May 18th, 2026.
Motorists can expect intermittent daily lane closures in both directions of LA 14 from 7 a.m. until 5:30 p.m. until the completion of the project. The project is anticipated to be complete by Fall 2026, weather permitting.
Closures will be necessary for crews to complete milling of asphalt pavement, pavement patching, pavement widening, asphalt concrete overlay, milling concrete pavement, concrete pavement patching, and related work.
Glenn Lege Construction LLC is the contractor for the project.
