UPDATE: The closure is rescheduled for Thursday, June 11, 2026.
Cameron Parish – The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development has announced that LA 82 from LA 27 to Trosclair Road will have the following closures on Thursday, June 11, 2026.
- Alternating single lane closure: 8 a.m. until 3 p.m.
- Full road closure: 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.
Detour:
Motorists can detour via LA 27 and Trosclair Road.
The closure is necessary for electrical utility work.

DOTD appreciates your patience and reminds you to please drive with caution through the construction site and be on the lookout for work crews and their equipment.
Area residents should exercise caution when driving, walking, or biking near an active construction zone.
