LA 40 Left and Right Lane Closures from LA 442 Intersection to Kerri Michael Ln. – Tangipahoa Parish – Asphalt Overlay

There will be intermittent and alternating lane closures on LA 40 from LA 442 Intersection to Kerri Michael Ln., from 6AM to 6PM, beginning on Tuesday, May 5, 2026 through Friday, May 15, 2026, weather permitting, while DOTD crews install an asphalt overlay.
Permit Information:
Oversized loads are restricted to 12 feet in width.
Detour Information:
Motorists may use the following routes to avoid the work zone:
Motorists traveling LA 40 east may take LA 443 south to US 190, then east to LA 445, then north to re-intersect LA 40.
Motorists traveling LA 40 west may take LA 445 south to US 190, then west to LA 443, then north to re-intersect LA 40.
