UPDATE: This closure has been rescheduled.
Calcasieu Parish -- The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development has announced that McKinley Street at the intersection with LA 14 will be closed from 7 p.m. Tuesday, May 5, 2026, until 7 a.m. on Wednesday, May 6, 2026.
The closure is necessary for crews to patch at the intersection of LA 14 and McKinley Street.
Detour information:
- Drivers wanting to travel WB on McKinley Street would detour to Taylor Street WB then Van Buren Street SB.
- Drivers wanting to travel EB on McKinley Street to the intersection with LA 14 would detour Van Buren Street NB then Taylor Street EB.

Area residents should exercise caution when driving, walking, or biking near an active construction zone.
