OPEN HOUSE PUBLIC MEETING STATE AND FEDERAL AID PROJECT NOS. H.016278 & H016278 US 167: MEDIAN IMPROVEMENTS VERMILION PARISH
The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (LADOTD) is conducting an open house public meeting for the US 167 median improvement project. The proposed project would consists of closing full access median openings at US 167 and LA 696 and Rue Blanc Road and convert them to partial median openings with left turn lanes and U-turns; close full-access median openings at US 167 and LA 697/Derek Road and convert it to an RCUT intersection with northbound and southbound left turn lanes and U-turns; improve the existing US 167 and LA 699/Fusilier Road RCUT intersection geometry and provide northbound and southbound left turn lanes and U-turns. The project intends to improve the capacity and reduce delay at the three intersections within the project limits.
The purpose of the meeting is to provide information about the project and to obtain input from interested parties. There will be a continuous multi-media presentation about the project and additional project information will be available. Representatives from LADOTD will be available at the open house to answer questions and discuss issues related to the project. Verbal and written comments on the project can be submitted at the meeting. Comments can also be mailed to the LADOTD address shown below, postmarked by *June 1, 2026*.
