Roadway Improvement Project in Richland Parish to Begin
RICHLAND PARISH – The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) advises motorists that a roadway project to provide improvements to Highway 80 is scheduled to begin on or about Thursday, April 30, 2026.
The project includes the construction of a dedicated right-turn lane at Holly Ridge Lodge & RV Resort on the north side of LA 80 approximately 1.1 miles west of the intersection with LA 583 in Richland Parish.
Construction is expected to begin on or about April 30 and is anticipated to be completed by July 2026, weather and other factors permitting.
Motorists may experience intermittent lane closures during construction. DOTD advises drivers to use caution in the work zone and to be alert for crews and equipment.
These improvements are expected to enhance traffic flow and reduce congestion, particularly during peak travel times, while improving overall safety at the intersection.
