PROJECT COMPLETE: LA 1200 overlay project in Rapides Parish
RAPIDES PARISH – The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development announces the substantial completion of the $4.8 million project to repair a four mile section of LA 1200 in Rapides Parish.
The project stretched from LA 1 in the Town of Boyce to LA 121, and included full-depth patching to repair the roadway base, drainage structures, installation of fiberglass paving mat, milling to remove the old asphalt, new asphalt paving, fresh striping & signage, and related work.
This work significantly improves the travel experience and extends the service life of the roadway, which helps strengthen the state’s overall transportation network.
