Lane closure: North Lakeshore Drive - Calcasieu Parish

Calcasieu Parish - The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development has announced the left lane closure along North Lakeshore Drive between the I-10 Westbound entrance ramp and the Calcasieu River Bridge will be extended to the I-10 Eastbound North Lakeshore Drive Exit Ramp (Exit 29) from 8 a.m.–5 p.m. daily, beginning Monday, April 27, 2026, through Friday, May 22, 2026.
The closure is necessary for boring along the median around North Lakeshore Drive. Work will be conducted weather permitting.

DOTD appreciates your patience and reminds you to please drive with caution through the construction site and be on the lookout for work crews and their equipment.
Area residents should exercise caution when driving, walking, or biking near an active construction zone.
