Restrictions: No thru traffic will be allowed.

Construction is underway for State Projects 4400032974. This State Project is to replace drainage structures on various State route in Ascension, and Iberville Parishes.
LA 22 is scheduled to have alternating lane closures Friday, May 8th, 2026 between LA 936 and LA 937. This closure is scheduled to take place between 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM. Flaggers will be on site to direct traffic through the work zone. One lane of travel will be maintained at all times. Motorists should expect delays when traveling through the work zone.
Weekend closures should be expected Saturday, May 9th thru Sunday, May 10th on LA 22 in Ascension Parish between LA 936 and LA 937. No thru traffic will be allowed.
Motorists should utilize the following detour:
LA 22 WB: Turn south on LA 936 to LA 937. Take a left onto LA 937 EB. Continue to LA 22 to complete the detour.
LA 22 EB: Turn south on LA 937 to LA 936. Take a right onto LA 936 NB. Continue to LA 22 to complete the detour.
This closure is necessary for replacing a cross drain.
This closure is subject to change due to adverse weather conditions.
