ROAD CLOSURE: LA 72 (Old Minden Rd) at RR crossing, Bossier Parish
The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development advises motorists that on Sunday, April 26, 2026, LA 72 (Old Minden Rd) at the railroad crossing near the I-20 overpass in Bossier City will be closed.
This closure is anticipated to be in place from approximately 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. for one (1) day, and is necessary to allow crews to mill and pave the roadway to smooth out the railroad crossing.
This crossing is located approx. 800 feet east of the intersection with LA 782-2 (Industrial Drive).
Restrictions/Permits: Total road closure at the specified location. All vehicles will need to utilize an alternate route.
Alternate Route: Detour signage will be in place.
This work will be performed WEATHER PERMITTING.
