UPDATE - BRIDGE CLOSURE: LA 169 over Twelve Mile Bayou, Caddo Parish (UPDATE 4/27/2026): DOTD advises motorists that due to unforseen circumstances related to the below referenced repairs, the LA 169 bridge over Twelve Mile Bayou near Mooringsport in north Caddo Parish will remain closed overnight tonight, Monday, April 27th.
The original schedule of daytime only closures will resume tomorrow, with the bridge expected to reopen by 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday, April 28th. Repairs will then continue with the daytime closures for two (2) weeks as noted in the original notification below.

Original notification - April 17, 2026:
The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development advises motorists that beginning on Monday, April 27, 2026, the LA 169 bridge over Twelve Mile Bayou east of the Town of Mooringsport in north Caddo Parish will be closed daily.
This closure is scheduled to take place from approximately 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. each day for two (2) weeks, and is necessary to allow for bridge girder and piling repair.
This bridge is located approximately 1.5 miles east of the intersection with LA 1.
This critical work ensures the structure remains in service to the community.
Restrictions/Permits: Total road closure during the specified time frame. All vehicles will need to utilize an alternate route during the daily closure.
This work will be performed WEATHER PERMITTING.
