H.014088 – US 61 – Ascension Parish

Construction is underway for State Project H.014088. This is an active safety improvement project to create a new left turn lane from US 61 northbound onto LA 427 westbound, as well as widen a portion of LA 427.
US 61 (Airline Hwy) will have a nightly, northbound, inside lane closure, beginning Sunday night, April 19th, and extending through Thursday night, April 23rd, 2026. These closures will be located between LA 42 and LA 427 in Ascension Parish. Nightly closures will be from 7:00 PM to 5:00 AM Sunday night through Thursday night. One lane of travel will be maintained in each direction at all times.
These closures are necessary for modifying the median island at the northbound left turn lane onto LA 427.
These closures are subject to change due to adverse weather conditions.
