PROJECT COMPLETE: LA 155 bridge replacements near Coushatta, Red River Parish COUSHATTA – The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development announces the substantial completion of the $14 million project to replace four bridges along LA 155 near the Town of Coushatta in Red River Parish.
The roadway is now officially REOPENED to traffic.
Work on the project included the removal of four timber bridges (all built in 1972), construction of new modernized concrete bridges, asphalt roadway approaches to the bridges, guardrail, fresh roadway striping & signage, and related work.
These bridges, which are located between Coushatta and Martin, provide important connectivity among these and other communities in Red River Parish and beyond.
DOTD would like to thank the traveling public and those residents who reside in the project area for their patience and understanding while construction was underway.
