UPDATE: Lewis Street will be closed at the intersection of LA 27 in both directions, beginning 7 a.m. until 5 p.m. on Saturday, April 18, 2026. The closure is necessary for crews to perform asphalt overlay.
Calcasieu Parish – The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development announces there will be alternating lane closures on LA 27 from Lewis Street to Barney Hoffpauir Road from 7 a.m. until 5 p.m. daily, beginning Wednesday, April 15, 2026, through Sunday, April 26, 2026.
The closures are necessary for crews to perform milling and asphalt overlay.

Area residents should exercise caution when driving, walking, or biking near an active construction zone.
