LA 881 west of Transylvania in East Carroll Parish

The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development advises motorists that, beginning on Monday, April 20th, the LA 881 Bridge over Tensas Bayou, west of Transylvania, in East Carroll Parish will be closed for necessary bridge repairs.
The bridge will be closed approximately 1.3 miles east of LA 134.
The closure is anticipated to last 2 weeks, and should be open Friday, May 1, 2026.
Restrictions/Permits:
Total road closure at the specified location. All vehicles will need to utilize an alternate route.

DOTD appreciates your patience and reminds you to please drive with caution through the construction site and be on the lookout for work crews and their equipment.
Area residents should exercise caution when driving, walking, or biking near an active construction zone.
