Cancelled: US 90/HPL Bridge: Overnight Lane Closures Scheduled for Huey P. Long Bridge for Ongoing Repairs (Jefferson Parish)

NEW ORLEANS — The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) announces that the previously scheduled overnight lane closures on the Huey P. Long Bridge (US 90) for finger-joint repairs, set for Monday, April 20 through Thursday, April 24, 2026, have been cancelled.

No lane closures will take place during this time.

These repairs are part of ongoing maintenance, and updated closure information will be provided as it becomes available.

NEW ORLEANS
— The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) announces upcoming overnight lane closures on the US 90/Huey P. Long Bridge for ongoing finger-joint repairs.

Westbound (westbank-bound) lanes will be closed nightly from 8:30 p.m. to 6:00 a.m., Monday, April 20 through Thursday, April 23, 2026 (ending at 6 a.m., Friday, April 24). Eastbound traffic will not be affected.

At least one lane will remain open to traffic at all times during the closures.

These repairs are part of routine maintenance to preserve the bridge and maintain a safe driving surface for motorists.
Motorists are advised to plan accordingly, allow extra travel time, and use caution when traveling through the area.
