H.015843.6 – LA-1 – Iberville Parish

The Department of Transportation and Development is announcing construction is underway for State Project H.015843. This State Project is to replace drainage structures, patch concrete pavement, patch, mill, and overlay asphalt pavement, stripe, and related work on LA 1 in Iberville Parish.
There will be a continuous outside lane closure on LA-1 SB within the limits of the Town of White Castle. This closure will begin Monday, April 13th, and extend thru Friday, May 29th, 2026.
These closures are necessary for saw cutting and patching concrete pavement.
There will also be alternating single lane closures on LA 1 in both direction between the Ascension/Iberville Parish Line and Annadale Road beginning Wednesday, April 15th and extend thru Friday, May 29th, 2026. Daily closures will take place Mondays – Fridays between 6:00 AM – 5:00 PM. Flaggers will be on site to direct traffic through the work zone. One lane of travel will be maintained at all times. Motorists should expect delays when traveling through the work zone.
These closures are necessary for asphalt milling, patching and overlay.
Restrictions: There will be 12' wide lane width restrictions during these closures. These loads should contact the DOTD permit office.
These closures are subject to change due to adverse weather conditions.
