Cameron Ferry Returns to 24-Hour Operations Beginning Friday June 12th, 2026

Cameron Parish – The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) announces that the Cameron Ferry crossing will resume 24-hour operations beginning Friday, June 12, 2026.

Motorists should expect delays during the hours of 12:00 a.m. to 1:00 a.m. due to regularly scheduled maintenance activities and are encouraged to plan their travel accordingly.

DOTD appreciates the public's patience and cooperation during the temporary modified operating schedule and remains committed to providing safe, reliable, and efficient transportation services throughout the state.

Motorists are encouraged to monitor ferry operations and travel conditions through DOTD's traveler information resources.
