US 51B/LA 22 Alternating Lane Closures from N. 7th St. to Ponchatoula Creek Bridge – Tangipahoa Parish – H.015842

There will be intermittent and alternating lane closures on US 51B/LA 22, from N. 7th St. to St. Patrick’s Blvd, nightly, from 8PM to 6AM, beginning on Thursday, April 16, 2026 through Friday, September 25, 2026, weather permitting, while crews install drainage structures and an asphalt mill and overlay.
Permit Information:
No restrictions for oversized loads.
Detour Information:
The following routes may be used to avoid the lane closures:
Motorists traveling US 51B north may take I-55 north to I-12 east (Exit 29A), then east on I-12 to US 51B (Exit 40) to re-intersect US 51B.
Motorists traveling US 51B south may take I-12 west to I-55 south (Exit 38A), the south on I-55 to US 51B (Exit 23) to re-intersect US 51B.
