I-49 Northbound Exit Ramp at Exit 1B – I-10 West (Lake Charles), Lafayette Parish, Ramp Closures

I-49 Northbound Exit Ramp at Exit 1B – I-10 West (Lake Charles) will be closed on Monday, April 13 at 8:00 p.m. until Tuesday, April 14 at 6:00 a.m., weather permitting.
These ramp closures are necessary to allow crews to perform joint saw and seal operations for the I-10 on-ramp.
Motorist traveling on I-49 NB will only be able to access I-10 West via the posted detour route, which includes continuing Northbound on I-49 to Exit 1C – Pont Des Mouton Rd, turn west on Pont Des Mouton Rd, then take I-49 southbound to Exit 1B –
I-10 West (Lake Charles).
Emergency vehicles will not have access to the I-49 northbound exit ramp at Exit 1B – I-10 West (Lake Charles).
Detour routes will be posted during the ramp closure periods.
There will be no vehicle width restrictions with this work.
