New Traffic Signals on LA 397 in service on April 14, 2026 – Calcasieu Parish

Calcasieu Parish – The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development has announced two new traffic signals on LA 397 will be placed into service, beginning Tuesday, April 14, 2026, at the following locations:
- LA 397 at Interstate 10 East Ramp – Exit 36
- LA 397 at LA 3020 (Opelousas Street)
Motorists should be aware that roadway construction will continue in the immediate area surrounding the new traffic signals and prepare for changing traffic patterns. This construction will include an additional eastbound lane on the Interstate 10 East Exit Ramp approach to LA 397, left turn lanes on LA 397 on its approaches to Opelousas Street, and an additional lane on the East Opelousas Street approach to LA 397.
