INTERMITTENT RAMP CLOSURES: Caddo & Bossier Parishes
The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development advises motorists that intermittent ramp closures will take place on Tuesday, March 31, 2026 on two ramps in Shreveport and Bossier City.
The flyover ramp from I-49 southbound to I-220 eastbound (Exit 210A) in Shreveport will be closed beginning at 9:00 a.m. for the purpose of apply anti-icing material Pavix to the ramp. This ramp closure is anticipated to last approx. 2-3 hours.
Once that is complete, crews will move to the I-20 eastbound ramp to I-220 westbound (Exit 26 Racetrack) in Bossier City. That ramp will be closed for approx. 3-4 hours, to be reopened no later than 3:00 p.m.
Pavix is a material that is sprayed onto the concrete to seal the roadway and help prevent ice from forming on the bridge surface during winter weather events. Once applied, the material lasts for several years. Pavix also provides resistance against the freeze/thaw cycle that can damage concrete roadways over time.

Restrictions/Permits: Total ramp closures at the specified locations. Motorists should plan to utilize alternate routes during these time frames.
