LA 1040 Lane Closures (Flagging Operations) from Wax Rd. to Happywoods Rd. – Ditch Cleaning Operations – Tangipahoa Parish

There will be alternating lane closures using flagging operations on LA 1040 (Old Baton Rouge Hwy) from Wax Rd. to Happywoods Rd. scheduled from Thursday, March 26, 2026 through Tuesday, June 30, 2026, from 6am to 6pm, weather permitting, while crews perform ditching and pipe cleaning operations. One lane will remain open.

No restrictions for wide loads.
Detour Information:
Motorists may use the following routes to avoid the work zone:
Motorists traveling LA 1040 west may take US 51 north to US 190, then west to LA 43, then south to re-intersect LA 1040.
Motorists traveling LA 1040 east may take LA 43 north to US 190, then east to US 51, then south to re-intersect LA 1040.
