(UPDATE 3/26/2026): DOTD advises motorists that the right lane on I-10 westbound over the Calcasieu River Bridge (MP 28.7) in Calcasieu Parish has been REOPENED following necessary repairs.

Previous update 3/24/2026:
Calcasieu Parish – The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development has announced the right lane on Interstate 10 Westbound over the Calcasieu River Bridge (MP 28.7) remains closed until Friday, March, 27, 2026, as repairs continue due to a crash.
C.E.C. Inc., a Lafayette-based contractor, is conducting repairs. The damaged concrete curb has been removed. Crews are currently installing formwork and rebar in preparation of pouring concrete. Once the concrete work is complete and formwork is removed, a guardrail will be installed.
Repairs are tentatively scheduled to be completed Friday. DOTD will issue an update once the lane is open.
