***UPDATE***Nightly road closure: I-10 Westbound (North Lakeshore Drive Overpass) - Calcasieu Parish

UPDATE: This closure will also be in effect from 10 a.m. until 5 a.m. nightly, from Sunday, March 22, 2026, through Thursday, March 26, 2026.
Calcasieu Parish – The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development has announced nightly road closures along Interstate 10 Westbound at the North Lakeshore Drive overpass from 10 p.m. until 5 a.m., beginning Sunday, March 15, 2026, through Thursday, March 19, 2026.
Traffic will be diverted to Exit 30B, Ryan Street. North Lakeshore Drive at the Veterans Memorial intersection will be closed during this time.
Detour route:
- I-10 Westbound: Take Exit 30B (Ryan Street) toward North Lakeshore Drive. Continue along North Lakeshore Drive to the I-10 Westbound Entrance ramp.
- Veterans Memorial/Belden St: Turn right on to Belden Street. Continue along Belden to the intersection at Ryan St. Turn right onto Ryan Street. The Ryan St. connector to Lakeshore Drive will be open with an officer at the connector to ensure the safe merging of traffic.
The closure is necessary for repairs to the guardrail along the North Lakeshore Overpass. Work will be conducted weather permitting.
