PROJECT UPDATE: US 165: 260’ N of Lowe’s Dr – Frontage Rd., Rapides Parish PINEVILLE – The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development advises motorists that all lanes and ramps are now OPEN to traffic as part of the $6.2 million project to repair US 165 at the US 167 interchange in Pineville, Rapides Parish.
This also includes the opening of the median crossovers along US 165.
This project included drainage improvements, full-depth base repairs, milling to remove the old asphalt, new asphalt paving, permanent roadway striping & signage, and related work. Other work involved lowering US 165 under the US 167 overpass to allow for greater overhead clearance.
Additionally, the traffic signals located on US 165 in Kingsville, both north and southbound lanes at the entrance to Lowes/Shopping Center, and the crossover next to Wendy’s will be adjusted to return to the original cycling, so motorists should be aware of this change and drive with caution.
This type of investment in the state’s infrastructure system extends the service life of the roadway and improves the travel experience for the thousands of drivers who utilize this interchange daily.
This is still an active construction zone, so motorists are urged to continue to be on the lookout for crews and equipment as any remaining work items are completed.
Restrictions/Permits: Lane width restrictions are no longer in place.
Alternate Route: N/A
