UPDATE: All lanes on US 171 Northbound over I-10 are open.

Calcasieu Parish – The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development has announced the left lane of US 171 North over Interstate 10 will be closed, beginning 7 a.m. on Tuesday, March 10, 2026.
DOTD will issue an update once the lane is open to traffic.
The closure is necessary for crews to install a pole to stabilize a communications tower that was damaged by a vehicle accident.

DOTD appreciates your patience and reminds you to please drive with caution through the construction site and be on the lookout for work crews and their equipment.
Area residents should exercise caution when driving, walking, or biking near an active construction zone.
