CORRECTION: The closure is scheduled to end at 9 a.m. Thursday, March 19, 2026. The project is expected to be complete by mid-May 2027, weather permitting.

Calcasieu Parish - The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development announces a full road closure (eastbound and westbound) for LA 14 from the LA 397/Ward Line roundabout to LA 397 beginning at 7 a.m. Monday, March 16, 2026, and ending at 6 p.m. Wednesday, March 18, 2026.
This closure is necessary for crews to make subsurface drainage repairs.
Detour Information:
- Motorists traveling west on LA 14 will head north on LA 397, west on US 90 and south to Gerstner Memorial Blvd.
- Motorists traveling east on LA 14 will head north on Gerstner Memorial Blvd., east on US 90 and south on LA 397.
Detour signage will be installed along the route.

Area residents should exercise caution when driving, walking, or biking near an active construction zone.
