Improvements on LA 14 from LA 397 to Gerstner Memorial Blvd - Calcasieu Parish

Calcasieu Parish – The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development has announced that work on LA 14 from LA 397 to Gerstner Memorial Boulevard is set to begin Monday, March 9th, 2026.
The project will consist of drainage work, railroad work, patching, milling and overlay work.
Motorists can expect alternating lane closures on LA 14 Eastbound and Westbound for the duration of the project. Closures will be in effect from 7 a.m. until 5 p.m., daily, Monday through Friday. A 10-foot width restriction will be in place for the Eastbound and Westbound lanes of LA 14 throughout the project.
Lane closures are necessary for crews to perform patching and drainage work. Flaggers will be on site to manage traffic flow.
Siema Construction LLC is the contractor for the project. This project is expected to be complete by mid-May 2027, weather permitting.
